{Eliana’s Newborn Session} | Renton WA Baby Photographer

Our friends Erwin & Yelena recently had their first baby, beautiful Eliana.  She surprised everyone by deciding that she wanted to meet her mommy & daddy face-to-face a few weeks earlier than expected!  So although she looks brand new in these images, she’s actually just over one month old.  She growing very quickly though, and we were glad to have an opportunity to capture her newborn look before she grows out of it!

{Matt & Carly’s Family Portraits} | Lake Stevens WA Family Photographer

Here at Rich Imaging it is important to Judy and I to partner with causes and organizations that we believe in.

One of those organizations we believe in is the La Leche League (LLL). One reason that we’re supportive of LLL is that we’ve been grateful recipients of their help in the past, especially when our first baby, Eliza, was born.

Every year LLL helps thousands of women to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother. For more info or to find a local group in your area you can visit their website at www.llli.org.

So, what does that have to do with this post? Well I’m glad you asked!

Last summer the local LLL had an event that resembled a family fair with tons of local vendors showing up to strut their stuff. Part of the fair was a silent auction and we donated a couple of sessions. Carly, Matt, and Natalie won one of those sessions and thought yesterday would be a good time to redeem it.

Talking on the phone and over email, Carly and Matt seemed like really nice people. After arriving at their home for the in-home photo session I realized they are great people. They even gave us cookies when we were all done!

Natalie was such a good little girl. We only had to give her a break for a few minutes to recuperate through the entire session. And she was still smiling afterwords! We had a lot of fun with everyone and came away with many, many good images. We actually had so many great shots that I had a very difficult time deciding which to post here on the blog. It doesn’t help that Natalie is one of the cutest little girls ever! Take a look below and see what I mean!

(By the way, Matt and Carly have are in the home remodeling business. So, if you need something done you should get in contact with them. You can see some examples of their work here.)

I love the progression of these shots! It was like this the entire session.

I hope it doesn’t threaten my manhood too much to say this, but I love this little dress! It’s very charming on her. I think it reminds me of something from the Victorian era, but I’m not sure. It’s stinking adorable!

I think this picture really captures Natalie’s spirit. She’s so playful and easy-going. She really was very much fun to work with!

Matt and Carly, thanks for inviting us into your home and letting us create these images. You are wonderful parents and your love for each other and Natalie is obviously very strong. May your family and business be very blessed and may you enjoy every moment with your treasure of a little girl!

Cheers,

{Slobodkin Family Mini-Session} | Newcastle WA Family Photographer

A few days ago our rabbi emailed saying that they were planning on getting their family picture done but their normal photographer had to leave for a family emergency. He was wondering if I could fill in. Of course I could!

I was excited that they would think to ask in the first place. Here is a shot from our very short session together…

Cheers,

{Doug & Amber’s Family Portraits} | Marysville WA Family Photographer

Last Sunday we did family portraits for the Metcalfe’s. I really like doing their pictures because all three of their kids are so adorable and fun in their own way. Aaron goes back and forth between being shy and putting his inhibitions aside (at least when my camera comes out), Shiloh has such a sweet personality and demeanor, and Moriah is just cute no matter what she does (as far as I know, anyway ;) ).

The last time we got together for portraits it took two appointments due to getting rained on our first time out. This time we were very blessed to narrowly escape most of the rain. We were at Kayak Point park and, towards the end of the session, there was rain pouring down just a little ways off the beach. We just got misted a bit instead of poured on. I much prefer the misting…
Well, here are the samples you’ve been waiting for!

[caption id="attachment_307" align="aligncenter" width="600" caption="They all wanted to see their picture the back of my camera after we did the shot above! They were so much fun!"][/caption]

[caption id="attachment_315" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="... And you just can't do family pictures and not get a picture of the Mr. and Mrs alone. I'm sure there's a rule about that somewhere... :) "][/caption]

Doug & Amber, you have wonderful kids and I really enjoy working with you! I can’t believe how much they’ve grown over the past year. It’s crazy! (By the way, I think your flip book idea is really neat. Judy and I might ‘borrow’ your idea ;) )

I hope you really like your pictures and I look forward to showing you the rest!

Cheers,

-Mark

{Ziva Jewel’s One Month Session} | Everett WA Baby Photographer

Our good friends Klayton & Lindsey recently had their third child, beautiful Ziva Jewel. She is very sweet and I’m sure that Lindsey is glad to finally have another girl in the family! Judy was blessed to be the photographer at Ziva’s birth. She gave us such great images we all wanted to get some more of her before she got very big (she seems to be growing so quickly!).

We had them come over for a session in our cozy in-home studio. We let the older kids play while we went to work with Ziva. Here’s a sample of some of the shots from the session:

[caption id="attachment_286" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="Even Ziva's older brothers got in on some photo action! They are adorable!"][/caption]

Klayton & Lindsey, we had so much fun with you, Ziva and the boys! We’re so glad to have you as friends and that our kids are getting to grow up together! We love you guys!

Cheers,

-Mark
