{Doug & Amber’s Family Portraits} | Marysville WA Family Photographer

Last Sunday we did family portraits for the Metcalfe’s. I really like doing their pictures because all three of their kids are so adorable and fun in their own way. Aaron goes back and forth between being shy and putting his inhibitions aside (at least when my camera comes out), Shiloh has such a sweet personality and demeanor, and Moriah is just cute no matter what she does (as far as I know, anyway ;) ).

The last time we got together for portraits it took two appointments due to getting rained on our first time out. This time we were very blessed to narrowly escape most of the rain. We were at Kayak Point park and, towards the end of the session, there was rain pouring down just a little ways off the beach. We just got misted a bit instead of poured on. I much prefer the misting…
Well, here are the samples you’ve been waiting for!

Doug & Amber, you have wonderful kids and I really enjoy working with you! I can’t believe how much they’ve grown over the past year. It’s crazy! (By the way, I think your flip book idea is really neat. Judy and I might ‘borrow’ your idea ;) )

I hope you really like your pictures and I look forward to showing you the rest!

Cheers,

-Mark

{Colton & Jamie’s Engagement Session} | Seattle WA Engagement Photographer

We’ve been talking back and forth with Jamie about her and Colton’s upcoming engagement photo session for about a month now, building up anticipation for all of us. The big day was yesterday and, wow, was all the anticipation worth it! We were blessed with one of the most beautiful days, full of sun and warm weather.

Jamie said that she wanted some good city shots, so I thought Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill would be a good place to start:

After Kerry Park we poked around historic Post Alley for a while…

This really was such a fun day! Jamie and Colton, thanks for letting us share a great day with you. Your love for each other is contagious! I know you will have a happy life together.

May your life together be blessed beyond measure,
-Mark

{Gail & Eric’s Engagement Session} | Seattle WA Engagement Photographer

Today I shot Gail and Eric’s engagement photos with my good friend Ty assisting me. What a fun time! We started out at Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill. It was windy and FREEZING!!! We lasted for about 3 seconds before retreating downtown to the library. Since none of us had ever been there before, we had a good time scouting out cool spots for the photos. Here is a sample of what we walked away with.

Our first stop was the colorful and famous fourth floor:

Our next stop was the romance section!

Gail and Eric, I had a blast hanging out with you today! I wish you both all the best and know that you will be happy together. Take care!
