{John & Danielle’s Family Session} | Everett WA Family Photographer

John, Danielle, and their two kids, Blake and Lila, were the second family we photographed for the Snohomish County Attachment Parenting Meetup Group fund raiser.

When I do sessions with families I usually take the first couple of minutes to have the kids warm up to me and my camera. But when Blake and Lila got to the Botanical Gardens they were rearing & ready to go! They’re such sweet kids and you could tell they really love each other. Here are some of the shots I like from the day…

John & Danielle, I hope you enjoy these picts of your cute family!

Cheers,

-Mark

{Mom & Daughter Session with Kelly & Katie} | Everett WA Childrens Photographer

Well, it’s here! Welcome to our new blog!
This blog and our oh-so-soon-to-be-released new website have been a couple months in the making. Let us know what you think of the new look. Send us an email or leave us a comment and tell us your thoughts. Now, on to the session!
=======================================================

Last Sunday Ryan, my assistant, and I met Kelly and Katie at Legion Memorial Park for their pictures. Kelly and Katie were one of a few who were participating in a fundraiser we were doing for the Snohomish County Attachment Parenting Meetup Group. My wife, Judy, is one of the assistant organizers and it’s a great group of top-notch moms, in case you’re wondering!

I was super stoked because it was a gorgeous day when the previous week we had been expecting rain. Another reason I was so excited was that even after scheduling the session we didn’t realize that there were botanical gardens right next to the park (you learn something new every day, don’t you?). The gardens gave us some great backgrounds to play around with and I think we all had a great time. Katie especially seemed to like being able to run around and climb on different

We took the first few minutes to let Katie get used to the surroundings and to Ryan and myself. After that we were running around having fun and making some great images. Here are a few of my favorites (click on them to see a larger size):

Kelly and Katie, I had a really good time with you in the garden. Let’s do it again before too long!

Cheers,

{Emilie & Stephanie’s Portraits} | Kirkland WA Children’s Photographer

Here’s the slide show: If you want to see it full-sized, click here!

About a week ago I met Jenny and her two girls, Emilie & Stephanie, at Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland - in the pouring rain! Well, we were very blessed that the downpour lightened up and even stopped for a few minutes for us. We were able to get some great shots.

At the end I asked the girls if they wanted to be done or if they wanted to keep taking pictures. I was so surprised when Stephanie said she wanted to go change her clothes and take more pictures! Her mom told me that neither of them were usually very keen on having their picture taken. As you can see below they seem to have warmed up to the idea quite nicely!

Well, girls, I had a great time with you at the park. I think we should go again sometime!
Be sure to check back for a slide show with all the rest of the pictures!

Cheers,
-Mark

On Sunday night I met up with a great family for some family photos. Steven, Ashley, and Kirsten met me at Picnic Point Park in Mukilteo. I took a few moments to warm up to Kirsten (or was it the other way around? :) and then we headed off to get started. Here are a few shots from our session:

Kirsten was such a patient little girl during our session, especially considering that we ended up cutting into her bedtime by a few minutes! Ashley & Steven, thanks for meeting me for the session and I really hope you enjoy your pictures!
Check out the link at the top of the post for the slide show!

{Klayton & Lindsey’s Family Portraits} | Everett WA Family Photographer

A little while back our friends had their first baby boy, Ephraim. We suggested to them that we take his newborn baby picture and a family photo. They agreed. It only took three years and almost two more babies, but we finally got those photos done! They’re expecting their first girl now. Congratulations guys!

Klayton & Lindsey are always fun and we enjoy hanging out with their family quite a bit, even if Ephraim’s a bit of a stinker about getting his picture taken. @Ephraim: Way to hang in there, bud!

One of the things that I enjoy the most about Ezra is how engaging he is. He seems to always look deep into your eyes. Don’t you love it?!

Ephraim was busy playing hard until he decided to flash me a look!
If anything can make Ephraim smile, it’s his Dad!
(He’s the coolest, didn’t you know? Just ask Ephraim.)
Ephraim LOVES being outside and finding cool things.
After he and Ezra found these big leaves he had a good time playing with his.
A good enough time that we were even able to get a good picture or two!

He even SMILED!!!

I have wanted to do portraits of Klayton & Lindsey together for about as long as we’ve known them, so I’m really glad that we got the opportunity to do this session.
Aren’t they just a beautiful couple!

Klayton & Lindsey, you really have one of the most loving, beautiful famlies I can think of. Judy and I are proud to know you and blessed to be your friends. May God continue to bless you and may He grow little Ziva Jewel into a healthy, strong little girl.

Be blessed,
-Mark
