We have a new baby! This is our new son, Caleb Elijah. He is only 5 days old in this session (yep, he’s a chunk!):

Our family is so blessed to have another child, and we can’t wait to see what kind of a person this little guy grows up to be!

Natalie and Julian were students in the natural childbirth class my wife was teaching (www.apuregenesis.com). They came over to our house every Tuesday, and sometimes Sunday, for several months. One day they called and said they wouldn’t be taking any more classes because their baby was about to arrive!
After one of the most difficult labors we’ve ever heard of, little Madrona made her grand entrance to the world! She’s so sweet and already such a good little girl. Natalie & Julian say that she doesn’t cry or fuss unless there’s something she’s in need of. Once she gets it, she calms right down. I can attest to this first hand and, from a parent’s perspective, it’s a wonderful thing!
Madrona’s sweetness continued right on through our photo session, too. From beginning to end she remained very sweet and calm. Just see for yourself:

Natalie & Julian, we’ve had a good time getting to know you over the past months and you are so blessed with Madrona (I know you know that, but I just had to say it anyway!). The session was fun and I can’t wait to show you the rest of the images! See you in a while!
Cheers,

About a month ago I met Carly & Matt to do their family portraits at their home in Lake Stevens. After seeing some of the images, Bryce, Carly’s cousin, called and wanted to book a session for his family, too!
Last week we got together and had a good time creating the following images at Bryce & Kaelynn’s home in Marysville. They have a good family dynamic and their two older boys, Dominic & Kevin, have a lot of fun. They love sports and even earned their yellow belt in Taekwondo together! That sounds like fun to me!

Bryce & Kaelynn, thank you for having me into your home to capture your beautiful family! I hope you enjoy this preview of your session and am looking forward to showing you the entire collection!
Cheers,
Mark
Our friends Erwin & Yelena recently had their first baby, beautiful Eliana. She surprised everyone by deciding that she wanted to meet her mommy & daddy face-to-face a few weeks earlier than expected! So although she looks brand new in these images, she’s actually just over one month old. She growing very quickly though, and we were glad to have an opportunity to capture her newborn look before she grows out of it!

Yelena & Erwin, we enjoy your friendship very much and are delighted for you in the birth of Eliana! We pray God’s blessings on you as you endeavour to raise your little one!
Cheers,

Here at Rich Imaging it is important to Judy and I to partner with causes and organizations that we believe in.
One of those organizations we believe in is the La Leche League (LLL). One reason that we’re supportive of LLL is that we’ve been grateful recipients of their help in the past, especially when our first baby, Eliza, was born.
Every year LLL helps thousands of women to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother. For more info or to find a local group in your area you can visit their website at www.llli.org.
So, what does that have to do with this post? Well I’m glad you asked!
Last summer the local LLL had an event that resembled a family fair with tons of local vendors showing up to strut their stuff. Part of the fair was a silent auction and we donated a couple of sessions. Carly, Matt, and Natalie won one of those sessions and thought yesterday would be a good time to redeem it.
Talking on the phone and over email, Carly and Matt seemed like really nice people. After arriving at their home for the in-home photo session I realized they are great people. They even gave us cookies when we were all done!
Natalie was such a good little girl. We only had to give her a break for a few minutes to recuperate through the entire session. And she was still smiling afterwords! We had a lot of fun with everyone and came away with many, many good images. We actually had so many great shots that I had a very difficult time deciding which to post here on the blog. It doesn’t help that Natalie is one of the cutest little girls ever! Take a look below and see what I mean!
(By the way, Matt and Carly have are in the home remodeling business. So, if you need something done you should get in contact with them. You can see some examples of their work here.)

I hope it doesn’t threaten my manhood too much to say this, but I love this little dress! It’s very charming on her. I think it reminds me of something from the Victorian era, but I’m not sure. It’s stinking adorable!

I think this picture really captures Natalie’s spirit. She’s so playful and easy-going. She really was very much fun to work with!

Matt and Carly, thanks for inviting us into your home and letting us create these images. You are wonderful parents and your love for each other and Natalie is obviously very strong. May your family and business be very blessed and may you enjoy every moment with your treasure of a little girl!
Cheers,
-Mark
