{Zahava’s Newborn Session} | Lake Sammamish WA Baby Photographer

About 5 weeks ago our new friends Yossi and Tonya had their fourth child, Zahava, a beautiful baby girl. After congratulating them, our thoughts naturally (and quite immediately) went to doing some pictures for them. What else!?! Hey, we’re photographers, what can we say? ;-)

Well, we got our chance to get them and little Zahava in front of the camera on Sunday night. Tonya called earlier in the afternoon to say that they finally had a minute if we wanted to come do a session. I tried not to let on too much that I was thinking “Um, let me think about that… YES!” while we were on the phone.

Rumor has it that Zahava gets quite cranky in the evening around 6pm, which is about the time we arrived at their home (we live a little ways away). However, I can’t attest to whether that’s always the case or not since she was a perfect angel the whole time we were there! We had such a good time we didn’t want to stop and go home. Not only that, but Tonya and Yossi treated us to dinner to boot!

Ok, so I suppose the point of this is not to hear me talk about what a good time we had together, so here are a few photos for your viewing pleasure!

Tonya and Yossi, we enjoyed taking pictures with you and Zahava. We loved the conversation and the opportunity to get to know you and your family a little bit more. We wish you and your very well and pray for G-d’s blessing for you all!

Cheers,

{Lance & Emy’s Family Session} | Stanwood WA Family Photographer

So, it’s been a while now since my last post and I’ve been slacking a bit, I admit. But it’s especially bad since the session that I’ve been needing to post about is for some friends! Well, I’m getting back on it with this post. I think you’ll like it!

When Lance asked us to do he and Emy’s family photos we were stoked. They are such a neat couple with great kids we were excited to get to hang out for a while. Then they took it to another level and invited us for dinner after the session, too! We had a great time. Emy,  Joey and Beth, Joey’s wife, crafted a wonderful meal mostly from food they had grown themselves in their backyard. I love to eat and, let me tell you, it was awesome! Emy also has a catering business. They do all kinds of weddings, get-togethers and other events. You can call her at 360-652-4637, in case you’re wondering how you can get some home cooked goodness for yourself. ;)

And now for the photos!

Lance, Emy, Joey, Beth, and everyone else… :) We had a really good time with you and dinner was amazing! Your family is a good example of a home with lots of love. Definitely a good example for Judy and I to look to! Be blessed!

Cheers,

{Aaron & Brooke’s Family Session} | Orcas Island WA Family Photographer

A couple weeks ago an old friend of mine from S. Idaho got married up here on Orcas Island (Congratulations Andy & April!!!). One of the families who made the trek up from Boise happened to be a good friend of mine from high school, Aaron. He brought his wife, Brooke, and, of course, their four charming kids. After the wedding they took a family vacation on the island and we paid them a visit.

As it naturally happens with us, Judy and I thought it would be great to get a few shots of Brooke and Aaron together, as well as some with the family. What we didn’t know is that Brooke and Aaron don’t really have too many pictures of them, not even from their wedding. Apparently their wedding photographer left town just after the ceremony and they haven’t seen hide nor hair of him since…

So, we had to rectify the situation with a few pictures of the two of them. Here are a few shots we took real quick while we were on a hike together:

Brooke & Aaron, we are so glad you decided to vacation up here for while! It was such a blessing to be able to hang out with you and your family all day! We really look forward to the next time we can visit. Maybe that’s not too far away… who knows!

Be blessed!

Cheers,

-Mark

{John & Danielle’s Family Session} | Everett WA Family Photographer

John, Danielle, and their two kids, Blake and Lila, were the second family we photographed for the Snohomish County Attachment Parenting Meetup Group fund raiser.

When I do sessions with families I usually take the first couple of minutes to have the kids warm up to me and my camera. But when Blake and Lila got to the Botanical Gardens they were rearing & ready to go! They’re such sweet kids and you could tell they really love each other. Here are some of the shots I like from the day…

John & Danielle, I hope you enjoy these picts of your cute family!

Cheers,

-Mark

{Mom & Daughter Session with Kelly & Katie} | Everett WA Childrens Photographer

Well, it’s here! Welcome to our new blog!
This blog and our oh-so-soon-to-be-released new website have been a couple months in the making. Let us know what you think of the new look. Send us an email or leave us a comment and tell us your thoughts. Now, on to the session!
=======================================================

Last Sunday Ryan, my assistant, and I met Kelly and Katie at Legion Memorial Park for their pictures. Kelly and Katie were one of a few who were participating in a fundraiser we were doing for the Snohomish County Attachment Parenting Meetup Group. My wife, Judy, is one of the assistant organizers and it’s a great group of top-notch moms, in case you’re wondering!

I was super stoked because it was a gorgeous day when the previous week we had been expecting rain. Another reason I was so excited was that even after scheduling the session we didn’t realize that there were botanical gardens right next to the park (you learn something new every day, don’t you?). The gardens gave us some great backgrounds to play around with and I think we all had a great time. Katie especially seemed to like being able to run around and climb on different

We took the first few minutes to let Katie get used to the surroundings and to Ryan and myself. After that we were running around having fun and making some great images. Here are a few of my favorites (click on them to see a larger size):

Kelly and Katie, I had a really good time with you in the garden. Let’s do it again before too long!

Cheers,

-Mark
